Public (and even Private) school-ers hate me. They really do. Why you ask? Because of my wonderful life. Obviously. :) Just kidding. Sorta. For example, today my family felt like blowing off school (because we homeschoolers are awesome and do this on … Continue reading →
Today I must compliment a beautiful ballet company that I had the privilege to see this past weekend. I traveled all the way to Hampton, Virginia to see Ballet Magnificat’s performance Deliver Us.
I must say, I was completely blown away.
For those who have not heard of Ballet Magnificat, they are a professional, Christian ballet company that tours around world performing their signature repertoire.
Even those not particularly interested in the arts would applaud their performances. The passion and feeling that they deliver into their dancing is very moving.
Ballet Magnificat’s Deliver Us exceeded all of my expectations. The technique and professionalism of the dancers combined with the exceptional lighting, music, and costumes all worked together to create an unforgettable performance.
I had initially thought about writing a quick synopsis about the ballet, but, seriously, why use words you all can see a little preview of Deliver Us for yourselves. ;)
Breathtaking, wouldn’t you say? :) Please, do yourself a favor. Go see this company in action.
Lots of love,
XoXo

I believe I have found the most amazing, scrumptious, gooey, RAINBOW food on earth. Ever. Not even kidding. While spending my morning on Pintrest’s food board (did I mention that it’s my second home?), I came across these bad boys.
I saw these and immediately had try them. Because, come on now, who can resist cake batter and rainbow sprinkles?
The recipe is super-duper easy and most of the ingredients are items that you probably already have on hand. Also, everything goes in one bowl. Which means less time washing dishes and more time devouring your lovely blondies.
directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the cake mix and sprinkles in a large bowl, then mix in the oil and egg. Add the milk slowly just until the batter is combined – you want it to remain as dense as possible. Place batter in a greased 8×8 pan or 8-inch cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or just until the edges turn golden. Let cool for 20 minutes before cutting because the gooey center needs to set. The result will be a decadent, cake-batter texture.
